This was my situation: The heat consumed me in the daytime and the cold at night, and sleep fled from my eyes.
This is the way I felt this morning. I had slept fitfully all night due to congestion. I think...think...I dozed off at 2am and woke up at 5am. I got up and showered and made my Dad coffee for his Bible Study then got on the CPU to check out the Rebelution.
Isaiah 5:27 NIV
Not one of them grows tired or stumbles, not one slumbers or sleeps; not a belt is loosened at the waist, not a sandal thong is broken.
Have you ever read the Bible and wished you could be like the people in it? I do all the time until I understand the futility of man. Even David sinned.
Isaiah 40:30 NIV
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall..
Like I said. :-) Do you look at this statement and think "what an understatement". I feel my sins like a broken record where "I'm Sorry" is played over and over again. You know how obnoxious that gets? I'm glad God doesn't feel that way.
2 Corinthians 6:5 NIV
in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger...
That's some perspective for you! And all along I thought my bed and hot covers were bad.
Hope to get a nap in today.
Hope my words meant something to you. Feel free to comment.
In Christ,
Hannah Clay
